University of Port Harcourt Student is the New Miss Earth Nigeria


Miss Eucharia Windy Akani has emerged the Miss Earth Nigeria 2017.
She hails from Ozuoba Town, Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State. She is 19 years and a Theatre Arts Student in University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.


She will represent Nigeria at the 17th Miss Earth beauty pageant that will take place on November 4, 2017, at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila in the Philippines.
The Miss Earth winner is the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations.

The current Miss Earth is Katherine EspĂ­n of Ecuador who was crowned on October 29, 2016 in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines.

MISS EARTH is an International Environmental Event that channels the beauty pageant and entertainment industry as an effective tool in promoting the preservation and protection of the environment since 2001.

Along with its rivals Miss World and Miss Universe, Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals.
