December, social media is flooded with end-of-the-year recaps and retrospectives (top nine, anyone?). But every year around this time, Pinterest gives us something far better—and more useful—than a goofy video reel: a look ahead at what we'll be wearing, buying, eating, and doing next year.

The company just released its 2019 forecast, called the Pinterest 100 list, which collects data from the 250 million pinners around the world who scour the site for fresh ideas in fashion, travel, food, and—apparently—god-parent proposals. In terms of beauty, the top-10 trends are a mix of things we've seen bubbling up on the runway (glossy lips), on the red carpet (baby bangs), on the shelves at drugstores (dip powder nails), and on each other (embracing natural gray hair).

Refreshingly not on the list: unicorn anything (we've finally reached a saturation point), but that doesn't mean bright or pastel colors are dead. Read on for the biggest beauty trends of 2019, according to Pinterest.
