Thinking Aloud on My Birthday: Choose A Good Legacy

Image
I pray for those who are still lost in the jungle of life; ignorant of the existential realties in the world. Life is more than having a meal ticket otherwise called your paycheck or salary. If your life is not worth more than your salary then your worth will amount to nothing more than just your salary. And the day you collect your last salary in life that is the day you will realise that what matters most in life is not earning a seven figure salary, but what you have done with every moment spent in the journey of life for the best or for the worst.

The report forecasts 9.99 million SVOD subscribers across 35 Sub-Saharan Africa countries by 2023, up from 1.56 million at end-2017. Although massive growth will take place, the Sub-Saharan Africa OTT TV & Video Forecasts report estimates that SVOD revenues will only be $775 million by 2023 as some platforms are very cheap. South Africa (3.37 million by 2023) will remain the leader, with Nigeria (2.61 million) in second place. South Africa and Nigeria will account for 60% of the region's SVOD subscribers by 2023 - down from 74% in 2017. So, the rest of the region is growing faster than the two main countries.

Using Drone for Real-Time Motion Planning for Aerial Videography

Image
Shooting professional quality video with a drone is not an easy task, and often requires multiple human operators. Researchers at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) think they’ve found a way to take humans out of the operation part of the equation altogether. The team teased a system this week that they plan to unveil at a conference later this month in which filmmakers can set certain parameters and then let the drone do all the work. The group calls the system “real-time motion planning for aerial videography,” and it lets a director define basic parameters of a shot, like how tight or how wide the frame should be, or the position of the subject within that frame. They can also change those settings on the fly and the drone will adjust how it’s filming accordingly. And, of course, the drone can dynamically avoid obstacles. Happy New Year 2019! A cool harmattan breeze is blowing in Lagos on the first day of January of the new year 2019 . The year has started beautifully for me as I walked side by side with one of the most beautiful young women in the world after the awesome cross over praise and worship in fellowship with others at the Shiloh Sanctuary parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the glorious and victorious church of our Almighty Father JEHOVAH God on earth where we love to make joyful noises with shouts of HALLELUJAH!. We had an  anointing and holy communion service with overflowing outpourings of the Holy Spirit. JESUS Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. We clapped and shook hands in jubilation. I hugged our pastor to thank him with congratulations. There were celebrations to thank Almighty God to be alive and well to welcome the new year with fireworks and street parties as we left for our houses. We have not seen since September last year before I left for m
