Reddit Has 7.55 Billion Page Views Every Month
Reddit: the front page of the internet is one of the most visited websites on the internet with 36 million account users who have made 190 million posts so far with 7.55 billion page views every month from more than 169 million unique visitors from over 212 different countries, including Nigeria.
Reddit was founded by University of Virginia roommates Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in 2005.
Condé Nast Publications acquired the site in October 2006.
In October 2014 reddit raised $50 million in a funding round led by Sam Altman and including investors Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel, Ron Conway, Snoop Dogg and Jared Leto.
It is currently valued at US$500 million. But to me, it should be worth more than that. My estimated market value of reddit is US$1 billion.
Millions of users read and share content in self-contained communities called “subreddits.”
The most popular subsection IAmA where thousands of interviews, known as “ask me anythings,” take place. It’s where Bill Gates has talked about the importance of vaccines, and where an airline baggage handler revealed mysteries of the trade — and where President Obama once responded to a question about the White House beer recipe by promising: “I can tell from firsthand experience, it is tasty.”
IAmA hosts more than 8.5 million subscribers and between 20 and 30 million page views per month on its own.
