'76 Wins Five Top Awards at AMVCA 2017

Izu Ojukwu's "'76", the gripping historical drama on the bloody coup d'etat of February 13, 1976 won the most coveted AMVCA Best Overall Movie Award and also the Best Director Award for Izu Ojukwu; Best Actress in Drama/ TV/ Movies Award for Nollywood diva, Rita Dominic; Best Costume Designer Award for Pat Egwurube and a well deserved Best Art Director Award for Pat Nebo.


The annual Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island in Lagos. The event was hosted by OAP, IK Osakioduwa and Minenhle ‘Minnie’ Dlamini.
