Premiere of "Yomeddine" is the Talk of 2018 Cannes Film Festival



The cast and crew of "Yomeddine" walk the red carpet in Cannes, marking a triumphant return to the festival by Egyptian filmmakers. The film tells the tale of a Coptic leper and his orphaned apprentice leaving the confines of their colony for the first time and embarking on a journey across Egypt in search of their families.

Egyptian Abu Bakr Shawky's directorial debut, "Yomeddine" (Judgement Day) is in competition for the Palme d'Or and Caméra d'Or at the on going 71st Cannes Film Festival in France.
