MAXWELL JONES, A Contemporary American Drama

What binds an African American cop and a Nigerian immigrant in New York City?

MAXWELL JONES is a down to earth good cop with a good family. But he is an alcoholic. And only his best buddy, Ugo is always there for him whenever he drinks too much..

An original story by Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima, prize winning cosmopolitan Nigerian writer and aspiring filmmaker telling an untold story of contemporary American drama about the realities of life.

"Yes. Cops also get drunk."

"You don't really know a woman until after your wedding. That's when she shows you her true colours."

"Who is Rosanna?" Asks the gunman.
"I am Rosanna," she replies.
"But you said you don't know him?"
"He is crazy. Can't you see that he is crazy?" She says with a hiss.
"Yeah! That's what she also called me," says the gunman. "And that's why I shot her to shut her mouth...forever."

PS:
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), in 2015, 15.1 million American adults (6.2 percent of the population) had an alcohol use problem.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), globally, 3.3 million deaths every year result from harmful use of alcohol.
