The world premiere of the much talked about Lagos love story movie "Gidi Blues" is on Saturday, June 4, at the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos. It's fully sponsored by M-Net's Africa Magic channel.
"We are indeed excited to premiere Gidi Blues and cannot wait for movie lovers in Nigeria and indeed the rest of the world to see it," said Mrs. Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, the Regional Director, M-Net West Africa.


The star studded romantic drama of popular Nigerian filmmaker Femi Odugbemi started trending online with the hashtag buzz What's your #GidiBlues? on Twitter and circulating in several conversations in the social media, highlighted by the leading stars, including the popular M-Net's "Tinsel" soap opera sex symbol, Gideon Okeke, celebrated singer Banky W, fast rising female musician Ayobamidele Aladekomo, aka "Aduke", Hauwa Allahbura, Lepacious Bose, Daniel Lloyd, Nancy Isime, Bukky Wright, Tina Mba, Segun Obadare-Akpata, Toyin Oshinaike, William Ekpo and other actors in Nollywood and from abroad.

Synopsis
Akin (Gideon Okeke) is an indulged playboy from an affluent family who accidentally meets an interesting beauty in an unpredictable place.
Nkem is a beautiful, confident but unusual young lady who devotes herself to her work as a community volunteer in the belly of the city’s worst slum.
Their encounter drags Akin into a whirlwind experience that unravels his world.
