NB:
It has taken me days of thorough analysis and statistics from Twitter to finally compile the above official top 10 most popular Nigerian celebrities on Twitter.
Other Nigerian celebrities with over 100, 000 followers on Twitter include Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Rita Dominic, Funke Akindele-Oloyede and Uche Jumbo among others.
None of the celebrated Nollywood male stars has up to 100, 000 followers on Twitter.

This is for the Spring season, and the list will be updated every quarter and that means there is competition for those on the chart to remain on it or lose their exalted positions to other Nigerian celebrities.

Many of them are absent on Pinterest, Instagram, Google + and other social media networks, so I have decided to use only Twitter as the most reliable for now. Generally, majority of the entertainers in Nigeria have little or no knowledge of social media public relations and how they can maximize social media to boost their public relations and careers in the entertainment industry. And many of those claiming to have managers are either posturing or have incompetent managers who are clueless about the limitless potentials of using social media for public relations.
That don't even know what is the "Halo Effect" or the "Oprah Effect" in social media marketing. That is why we are witnessing what I call public relations disasters of many local celebrities.

Why Twitter?
Twitter is more authoritative and accurate than Facebook where there are many fake accounts of Nigerian celebrities and in fairness to the celebrities, Twitter shows their social media popularity rankings more than Facebook. Because having dedicated followers on Twitter is more reliable and valuable than counting mere likes on Facebook which as we all know is in fact satirized as "Fakebook", because of the millions of fake profiles by internet trolls, scam artists and fraudsters on the prowl.
