The Youngest Professional Photographer and Filmmaker in Nigeria

I met Nigeria"s youngest professional photographer and filmmaker, 17-year-old Gabriel Okpuno at work during The Heinrich Böll Foundation's Workshop on "Co-Creating An Inclusive Lagos" from July 4-5, 2017 at the Centre For Values in Leadership on Victoria Island, Lagos.

He said he has been trained on the job by the Christ Embassy Church in Lagos state. He uses DaVinci Resolve for editing and grading.

"You are going to be a master filmmaker if you continue with your passion for photography and filmmaking," I said to him.
"But, I want to study medicine and become a medical doctor," Gabriel said.
"That's good. You will be producing documentary films on medicine and about medical doctors," I said. And a lady sitting beside me concurred.
