AFRIFF 2018: "Azali" Did Not Deserve The Award For Best Feature Film

2018 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF): "Azali" Did Not Deserve The Award For Best Feature Film

Jahmil X. T. Qubeka's "Sew the Winter to My Skin" should have won the award for the Best Feature Film in addition to the award for Best Director.
Kwabena Gyansah's "Azali" cannot be compared to "Sew the Winter to My Skin" in all the requirements for Best Picture, except for Best Original Story.
"Azali" looks more like a good #Nollywood home video while "Sew the Winter to My Skin" can compete with the best films in #Hollywood.

AFRIFF should have a better jury next time.
The organisers can use the criteria used for the annual Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), by including members of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI).
Personally, I only approve internationally recognised film critics , accomplished award winning filmmakers and award winning actors to be members of the jury of an international film festival and film awards. Judging films is different from judging home videos in terms of the art, craft and science of filmmaking. Videography is not cinematography.
Many people in Nollywood and #Ghollywood are still confused about the difference in the Big Picture.
