"NEXT LEVEL NOLLYWOOD" Project

"NEXT LEVEL NOLLYWOOD" Project

Since I was invited by the Office of the President for an important appointment in September, I have been busy on what I call "NEXT LEVEL NOLLYWOOD" Project to make #Nollywood a global brand and increasing the academic studies on Nollywood worldwide through the NOLLYWOOD MIRROR®Series I have been publishing since 2013. The first book series on the Nigerian film industry; documenting the history of filmmaking in Nigeria from the first feature, "Palaver" made in 1926 by the Academy Award winning director, Geoffrey Barkas to the emergence of the guerrilla filmmakers of the phenomenon of Nollywood, the first indie film industry in Africa; with photographs never published before in any book.
Presently, the NOLLYWOOD MIRROR®Series is a reference book for film studies in different universities in the world. And this month two new universities in Europe and the West Indies have been added.

Of course, as our motto is "See The Big Picture", we are already working on international establishments of Nollywood Cinema Cafés on campuses in different countries in all the continents.
The names and locations will remain classified for now for good reasons which people who are well informed about the Nigerian film industry will agree with me.
We welcome corporate partnerships only for our "NEXT LEVEL NOLLYWOOD " Project worldwide.

Filmmakers and film distributors who want profile features in the third edition of the NOLLYWOOD MIRROR®Series for the "NEXT LEVEL NOLLYWOOD" Project can contact me. I have already given two full pages each to 30 outstanding Nigerian female filmmakers, because they are the focus of this special edition that is also supporting the #ShareHerJourney Program of the annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Best,
EKENYERENGOZI Michael Chima.
