"Slay in Your Lane" as a Black Girl Bible


The new book, Slay In Your Lane: The Black Girl Bible: Amazon.com: Books
is a guide to life for black British women making (Pink) Lemonade out of lemons according to the young British Nigerian authors.


Yomi Adegoke, senior writer of The Pool, and writer and brand marketer Elizabeth Uviebinené. They describe their groundbreaking new book, "Slay in Your Lane, as a ‘black girl bible", a guide to life for a generation of British black women.




Covering everything from education to work, dating to health, and money to representation, Slay in Your Lane combines the experiences of Adegoke and Uviebinené with interviews with dozens of Britain’s most successful black women, including musician Jamelia, children’s author Malorie Blackman and BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo.

Adegoke and Uviebinené will join Afua Hirsch, author of Brit(ish), and Labour MP Dawn Butler to celebrate the strides many inspirational women have already made and to discuss the unique challenges faced by black women in Britain today. Further speakers to be announced.

Running time: 90 minutes, no interval.
