Charlize Theron, the Highest Paid African Actress in the World


The highest paid and richest African actress is Charlize Theron of South Africa.
She is currently among the highest earning female actors in the world in the 2017 rankings by Forbes at the sixth position with US$14 million.


She became the first and only African actress so far to win an Academy Award for her outstanding role as "Aileen Wuornos" in Monster, the 2003 crime drama written and directed by Patty Jenkins.
Her critically acclaimed performance also won her the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 2004 Berlin International Film Festival, Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress among several other top awards.
