All Woman Project Launches Second Editorial & Video Campaign
Models Clementine Desseaux and Charli Howard Partner with Body Positive Leader Aerie to Continue Challenging the Global Definition of Beauty
NEW YORK, Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- An empowering new future where women are shedding labels and celebrated for being themselves is taking shape. The All Woman Project is turning the fashion industry and its expectations on its head with a campaign that marks the second installment of the All Woman Project, a powerful and inclusive campaign created by models Clementine Desseaux and Charli Howard. Launched in conjunction with New York Fashion Week in September 2016, the campaign will continue to present two times a year to coincide with fall and spring Fashion Months. Featuring a diverse collection of bold and beautiful women, the editorial campaign came to life when the All Woman Project teamed up with Aerie, the intimates & apparel brand that continues to lead the body-positivity movement with its #AerieReal campaign.
The goal is simple: to represent all women exactly as they are. Never retouched, always beautiful.
ALL WOMAN PROJECT LAUNCHES SECOND EDITORIAL & VIDEO CAMPAIGN
This isn't lip service, this is a movement.
"We started the All Woman Project to change the global perception of women's beauty and to show that a woman can be gorgeous at any age, color and shape", states All Woman Project co-founders Desseaux and Howard. "We have teamed up with Aerie for an editorial campaign featuring a diverse collection of bold and unique women that represent all women around the world."
The cast for the second campaign features top models in "straight" and "plus" industries as well as other inspiring women from around the world, including All Woman Project co-founders Clementine Desseaux and Charli Howard, #AerieREAL Role Model Iskra Lawrence, Montauk surfer Quincy Davis, Senegalese model Khoudia Diop, fitness expert Holly Rilinger, style blogger and university professor Lyn Slater and models Mari Agory and Paloma Esser.
The women are styled by Calvy Click and dressed in Aerie with makeup by Alyssa Lorranie and photographed by duo, Heather Hazzan and Lily Cummings, who have also faced struggles with diversity in fashion. Produced by Les Mijotés, the campaign highlights the cast's natural beauty with sophisticated and demanding black and white and color portraits and fashion film. Talent boldly showcases their curves, wrinkles, freckles and skin tones.
"We don't just talk about body positivity, we live it," says Iskra Lawrence, #AerieREAL Role Model. "Working with the All Woman Project is a natural fit for Aerie. They are providing an honest and unretouched look at beauty and that's exactly what Aerie is about - making women of all ages feel gorgeous in the skin they are in."
All Woman Project will celebrate the new campaign, showcasing the portraits and fashion video in a gallery setting, at Aerie's New York City Pop-Up this February.
