IT Cosmetics® Announces Winners of 2015 IT Girl® Contest
NEW YORK, July 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The winners of the first annual IT Girl® Contest have been announced! With more than 3,000 people signed up for the initial round of the contest, it was difficult to narrow down the entrants for the Top 20 and then, ultimately, to the final three IT Girls. IT Cosmetics® is proud to name Millie Truong, Nabela Noor and Loey Lane as 2015's IT Girl! "These three women truly inspire the IT Cosmetics team," said IT CEO and Co-Founder Jamie Kern Lima. "They are brave and real and share the IT mission to make every woman look and feel her most beautiful." The winners will each receive $5,000 and be invited to New York to collaborate on a new product innovation with Lima and the IT team.
The contest, conceptualized and sponsored by IT Cosmetics® and powered by Grapevine, officially kicked off in May 2015. More than 3,000 people signed up to learn more about the contest and approximately 650 videos were submitted for Round 1, which had a theme of "Your Most Beautiful You." IT Cosmetics® works with plastic surgeons, to create innovative, game changing products that when in the hands of real women everywhere become life changing products. Women shared powerful messages about self-esteem, inner beauty and the way makeup can give you more confidence in their videos, truly embodying the ideals of IT Cosmetics®. Twenty finalists were selected to move on to Round 2 and create a video that showcased—and solved—common beauty problems. Those finalists were then narrowed down to the three winners based on overall message and educational value. Collectively, the IT Girl® Contest videos received hundreds of thousands of views, generated more than 35 million social media impressions and inspired countless women and men to embrace their real beauty.
