AT CHIBUIKE IHIONU AND EBELE OKWUONU’S GLAMOROUS TRADITIINAL MARRIAGE IN ANAMBRA 

When glamour and panache meet with elegance and splendour, what you get is pure, unadulterated ecstasy. 

That was exactly the situation on October 31st, 2020 when all roads led to the palatial country home of Chief (Sir) Nnamdi Okwuonu  (Akajiugo di ndu Kwochaa na Uke) and his beautiful wife, Lady Okwuonu at Nkwelle village Uke, Idemili North LGA of Anambra state for the traditional wedding of their delectable daughter, Ebele. 

Ebele, a British trained lawyer got hooked, traditionally to her heartthrob, Chibuike Ihionu, computer scientist and a British trained Human Resources Management expert. 

The groom's father is Chief (Sir) Sam Ihionu, an industrialist from Akokwa, Ideato North LGA, Imo State. The groom's mother Lady Maria was the cynosure of all eyes in her delectable dress.

She and her in-law, Lady Okwuonu spared nothing in giving their guests the best of comfort. 

The event was epochal and will remain etched on the memories of guests and indigenes of Uke for a long time to come. 

The ambience oscillated between solemn and electrifying, leaving heads bowed in awe, hands to clap in appreciation, eyes to rove in admiration and lips and feet to move in acceptance. 

The Ebele-Chubuike Day was charmingly colorful just as it was amazingly enchanting. 

Suspense enveloped the arena when the beautiful bride stepped out, in line with the Igbo custom, to receive a cup of palm wine from her obviously joyous father who mandated her to search out his groom among the galaxy of young men seated, and hand the cup to him to sip from, signaling the confirmation that indeed, he was the reason for the gathering. 

It didn't take Ebele long to spot out Chibuike who accepted the cup of wine, sipped from it amid thunderous applause. 

Thereafter, together, the newest couple in town, ensconced in each other's arms made a deliberate but slow elegant movement to their seats. 

It was another unwavering show of undying love for each other as Chibuike intermittently gazed into Ebele's eyes while she gently caressed his well manicured beards. 

Guests were treated to choice foods and drinks and there were plenty to eat and drink. 

Parents of the new couple, beaming with smiles and evidently satiated with joy personally went round to great high profile dignitaries who came from all walks of life. 

Among the galaxy of guests who graced the traditional wedding were Senator Uche Ekwuife, Chief & Lolo Godwin Ubaka Okek(Onwa). Chief Sir & Lady Joseph Ukeji (Chimalunzu) marriage sponsor,  Chief & Lolo Celestine Ebubeogu (Ide Akokwa) and chairman of Tiger Foods Ltd (groom's uncle), Chief & Lolo Dona Ebubeogu MD Tiger foods (groom's uncle), Chief Sir & Lady  Emma Eziokwu, (Aku ilili na utu), Chief Sir & Lolo  Anagu(Ide umuoji) Makson Chemicals Ltd.
