Where 92% of the Movies and Series on Netflix Come From

92% of Netflix movies and series are acquired externally — and the majority of that from independents.

$240 billion per year is spent by broadcasters and OTTs on content production and this is growing at an annual rate of 10%.

The independent producers have found Vuulr to be one of the best platforms to sell their TV and film productions.

Ben Flint, COO at Vuulr told me about covering new fronts in the US and UK after their successful establishment in Asia;connecting producers and distributors with the leading buyers of content in the global entertainment industry.

I can have the regular supply of content for the new OTT channel we are launching soon which has been in development from my Screen Naija YouTube channel.
These two channels are going to be on my iPost.

I have spent so much from my incomes on the development of iPost with developers based in Asia and it passed the feasibility assurance test when it was among the 10 finalists for the Fund for Internet Research and Development – FIRE Africa Awards in 2014 without even including the eCommerce feature.

Vuulr, the Singapore based digital supply chain platform, is helping to transform the TV and film content industry.

Vuulr now features TV and film content from producers and distributors including Sony, Picture Tree International, Banijay Rights, Warner Media, CNN and Toonz Media Group. The platform has over 30,000 hours across over 60 genres and 70 languages.

Registered buyers include Walt Disney Co, Viacom International Media Networks, Turner International Asia Pacific, Super RTL, and streamers iflix and HOOQ.
