Jason Njoku's iROKO TV and the Miracle of Nollywood

Jason Chukwuma Njoku and his best friend, Bastian Gotter, a fellow University of Manchester graduate, who gave him financial support when nobody in Nigeria helped him.

“My wife persuaded me to do a little spring cleaning this weekend. As I was going through my things, I came across this old account statement for an iROKO Partners Ltd bank account in London. If you look at the date its 13 July 2010. The statement is for June 2010. That’s right. £60.25 paid in. £60.00 (my feeding money) paid out. And an ending balance of £0.25. That’s right folks. I literally had £0.25 in my account that’s $0.42 or N63," said Jason Njoku.. And four years later the account is estimated to be $30 million!
"I am Jason Chukwuma Njoku, Founder of iROKO. ... focused on the future, because that's the only way I can get to $100M in net worth by 2020."

Njoku said he had failed in ten previous business ventures until his eleventh venture, iROKOtv became the game changer after "most smart people" told him to kill it. But today, he cannot stop thanking God that he did not listen to them.

In 2010, Njoku and Bastian Gotter launched NollywoodLove, a YouTube channel, which was profitable within two months of launch! The #YouTube channel currently has more than 811,230 subscribers and still counting.

The iROKOtv channel is now part of iROKO Partners, cofounded by Jason Njoku as the CEO and Bastian Gotter with a major investor, Nazar Yasin.
The online media distribution company is focused on the Nigerian Entertainment Industry.
