Philip Noyce's Masterclass For African Directors Coming Up At 2019 AFRIFF



Famous award winning Hollywood director Philip Noyce is going to have a special Directors' Masterclass for 25 African filmmakers at the 2019 annual Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in November in Lagos, Africa's largest megacity and the hub of Nollywood, the phenomenal indie film industry of Nigeria.

November 10th -16th, 2019.

He is excited about meeting with the top film directors in Africa for the first time and looking forward to working with them after the masterclass.



Phillip Noyce (born 29 April 1950) is an Australian film director. He is an AACTA Award-Winning Film Director and has directed over 19 films, including Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002), Patriot Games (1992), Salt (2010) and Clear and Present Danger (1994).

In 2011, Noyce directed and executive produced the pilot for the ABC series Revenge and has since directed numerous TV pilots, including Netflix's What/If starring Renée Zellweger which premieres in June 2019.
Above Suspicion is an upcoming thriller film directed by Phillip Noyce, and stars Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston. It is based on Joe Sharkey's nonfiction book of the same name.
Phillip Noyce's next film will be Rats of Tobruk adapted from his father's diary of the epic World War II Siege of Tobruk in Libya.
