We Are Going To Win The Academy Awards for Nigeria!

If you want to capture a dragon, don't waste your time chasing after a monitor lizard.
If you want to capture the big picture, don't settle for the miniature.

After 93 years of filmmaking in Nigeria since Geoffrey Barkas made his "Palaver" in 1926 and later won an #Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film in 1936 for his "Wings Over Everest", it is long overdue for Nigerian filmmakers to compete with the best at the highest level of the global film industry.

It is now more than a personal ambition as I see it as a patriotic mission beyond the shores of #Nollywood.
I believe we have the unforgettable Nigerian narrative story in our original screenplay of "OMA" to produce an awesome film for the cinema to make the nominations for The Academy Awards of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to compete for the Oscars in the following categories:

  • Best Picture
  • Best Director
  • Best Actor
  • Best Actress
  • Best Cinematography
  • Best Film Editing
  • Best Original Score
  • Best Original Song:
  • Best Production Design
  • Best Original Screenplay

The director, producer, cinematographer, production designers and screenwriters are good enough to make the nominations.
We are still looking at the portfolios of some actors and editors in Nigeria and America.

The more I focus on the Big Picture of the future, the clearer it becomes.
I have two road maps and one compass.
