The First Canadian Actor in Nollywood



GIOVANNI ROSMAN was the first Canadian born actor to act in Nollywood movies.



Rosman studied at the University of Victoria and worked at the British Columbia Ferries before relocating to Nigeria and got married to a Nigerian woman.

Rosman was passionate about life and expressed this through a myriad of artistic and altruistic endeavors. He became the President of the non-profit, Helping Others Worldwide for the welfare of impoverished communities across the globe.

Rosman featured in several movies in Nollywood, including "Systemic Lies", 2018, " the award winning "The Missing God", 2016, that won the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) prize for Best Film In African Language and "A Trip To Libya", 2018.

Giovanni Rosman passed on in Nigeria last year 2019.

One of his daughters, Michaela rosman played the supporting actress role "The Legend of Gatuso".
